2017.09.09

Round 17 of Todai EMP which started in April 2017, came to a close on September 9, 2017. The program for Round 17 included 118 sessions in the “deep insight and learning” lecture series, 24 sessions on management knowledge and communications skills, as well as 41 sessions of Todai Campus visits (Komaba, Kashiwa, Yayoi), orientation, the EMP Salon, teamwork, Zazen practice and stargazing away from campus, and optional sessions, for a total of 183 lecture sessions.

The goal of Todai EMP is to offer a platform (Ba) in which students can acquire the ability to determine issues and solve them. In accordance with this goal, the students were divided into four groups that based themselves most particularly on what they had learned in the “deep insight and learning” program to debate the core issues of today and the associated challenges*. They presented their findings on the day of the closing ceremony.
